Collection: Kingman Turquoise

Kingman Turquoise is mined from the Kingman Mine, located in northwestern Arizona, USA.

The Kingman Mine, one of North America’s oldest and largest turquoise mines, has been mined since around 600 A.D. by Indigenous peoples. Commercial mining began in the 1880s and was expanded in 1962 by the Colbaugh family, who still operate it today.

It is known for its wide range of colors, from sky blue to deep green, often featuring black, brown, or golden matrix patterns.

Different mining areas within the deposit, such as the Hardy, Ithaca Peak, and Turquoise Mountain pits, produce turquoise with distinct visual characteristics.
